ISO 14001 award for Veolia Propreté
Bartin Aéro Recycling awarded the ISO 14001 certification for its aircraft dismantling activities on Châteauroux-Déols the airport site.
Paris, January 22, 2009
Bartin Aéro Recycling, a subsidiary of Veolia Environmental Services, has been awarded the ISO 14001 certification for its aircraft dismantling activities on the Châteauroux-Déols airport site. This certification, a first in Europe, epitomizes the desire to control the impact of this activity on the environment.
The certification audit conducted by AFNOR Certification validated the Environmental Management System in place for Bartin Recycling Group's other activities. This certification completes the qualifications already obtained by Bartin Recycling Group and its partner Europe Aviation, in the respective domains of ferrous and non-ferrous metal recycling (ISO 9001 & 14001) and aircraft deconstruction (PART 145).
The Châteauroux-Déols site has become the first European site capable of providing all aircraft deconstruction and dismantling services in compliance with the commitments of the environment and sustainable development charter recently signed by the President of GIFAS (French Aerospace Industries Association).
Christophe Nebon, CEO of Bartin Recycling Group, stated: " With the commitment made by all our teams corresponding with a continual progress approach, Bartin Recycling Group has been awarded certifications for the organization and management of its services. This approach applicable to our entire range of activities, including the most innovative, constitutes a genuine guarantee of day-to-day quality and efficiency."
