People are increasingly coming to the Group with requests for assistance or advice on undertaking voluntary carbon offset projects. These initiatives can take diverse forms and are generally high profile.

In the interest of our customers and our Group alike, we must therefore apply a set of rules designed to guarantee the utmost transparency, rigor and environmental integrity for such projects, whether they are led by our customers based on our advice, or by a subsidiary of the Group acting on its individual initiative. This paper reviews the context, terminology and procedures of sustainable carbon offsetting.
